Hero Fence
Hero Fence high-security perimeter — black anti-climb steel
Perimeter Security · Critical Infrastructure

High-spec perimeter.
Single point of accountability.

Anti-climb welded wire mesh. Ornamental steel built to ASTM F2589. Hydraulic vehicle barriers. Controlled-access slide and swing gates. We deliver the fence-and-access layer cleanly so your sensor integrator's work lands on a perimeter that's already to-spec.

Why Hero for Secure Perimeter

Specialty fence isn't a commodity trade.

Substation perimeter that meets NERC CIP. Federal facility fence built around cleared-installer scheduling. Data-center fence-line coordinated with the sensor integrator's cable trench. These aren't bid-day decisions — they're shop-floor disciplines.

We've built the shop around them.

Perimeter Security Capabilities

Every layer of the perimeter, to spec.

Fence selection, access control, foundation engineering, integrator coordination — we own the perimeter from ground-up to sensor-handoff.

High-spec fence systems

Anti-climb welded wire mesh (358 mesh, 4-gauge), expanded metal panels, palisade, ornamental steel (Ameristar Stalwart, Fortress Athens). Microwave-transparent fabric where required.

Vehicle access controls

Slide gates and cantilever rollers, hydraulic and electric operators, drop-rod assemblies, vehicle barriers and crash bollards. Coordinated to the site's traffic operations.

Pedestrian access controls

Full-height turnstiles, secure walk gates, key-lockable latches with intrusion-resistant hardware. Layouts coordinated with badge-reader and security console placement.

Foundations engineered to spec

Project-engineer-signed footing schedules, post embedment depth verified to local frost and lateral-load tables. Signed-and-stamped engineering on every secure perimeter.

Integrator coordination

We deliver the fence-and-access layer to a measurable spec so the integrator's sensor cabling, terminations, and head-end calibration land on a clean perimeter. Coordination meetings, not scope battles.

Specialty + custom welded

Custom welded gates, escutcheons for access control hardware, decorative ornamental specifications for civic-adjacent perimeters. Hot-dip galvanized + powder coated to NW-coastal exposure.

Site Types We Serve

Built for sites that can't be wrong.

Critical infrastructure, federal facilities, controlled commercial environments. The spec stays consistent; the discipline doesn't bend.

Tech Infrastructure

Data Centers

Multi-zone perimeter + controlled access. Coordinated with cabling trench, sensor pad layout, and backup-genset access scheduling.

Utility

Substations & Switchyards

NERC CIP-aware perimeter design. Substation-grade chain link, swing gate operators, ground-grid coordination with the electrical engineer.

Critical Infrastructure

Water & Wastewater

Treatment-plant perimeter + access controls. Per-AWWA & per-EPA security guidance, coordinated with operations supervisor.

Telecom

Tower & Comm Sites

Anti-climb + restricted access. Compact-footprint perimeters for tower compounds; coordinated with carrier site-spec books.

Federal

Federal & DoD Facilities

Davis-Bacon + cleared installers where required. Background-checked crews; FedRAMP and NIST SP 800-53 documentation support.

Frequently Asked

The questions security directors actually ask.

+

Do you self-install or sub the fence trade on secure sites?

Self-install. The crew is W-2 Hero employees on every project. That matters for secure perimeters because background-check posture, project insurance, and access-control accountability all flow through a single payroll. No surprise subcontractor showing up on day three.

+

Can you coordinate with our sensor / electronic-security integrator?

Yes — that's how we run every secure-perimeter project. We deliver the fence-and-access layer to a measurable spec (post locations, ground-grid coordination, cable trench depth) so the integrator's sensor cabling, terminations, and head-end calibration land cleanly. Joint coordination meetings, no scope battles.

+

Do you handle NERC CIP for substation perimeter work?

Yes — perimeter design awareness for NERC CIP-rated substations. We coordinate with the utility's CIP lead from the bid stage and run the project documentation to match. We do not sign off on the utility's CIP compliance posture; we deliver to the spec they hand us.

+

What clearance levels can your crew support on federal sites?

Coordination with standard third-party background-check vendors. Cleared-installer availability is project-specific — send the contracting officer's clearance requirements with the RFP and we'll confirm which crew composition fits.

+

Typical project size and timeline?

$200K to $2M+. Typical mobilization 2–4 weeks after award depending on materials lead time (ornamental steel and custom welded gates run longer). Site walks within one business day if local.

+

Can you fabricate custom welded gates and ornamental specs?

Yes. In-shop fabrication for custom welded vehicle and pedestrian gates, escutcheons for access-control hardware, decorative ornamental specifications for civic-adjacent perimeters. Hot-dip galvanized plus powder-coated finishes for NW-coastal exposure.

+

Do you provide signed-and-stamped engineering?

Yes — for foundation design and lateral-load calculations on secure perimeters. We coordinate with a PNW-licensed PE on every secure-perimeter project. Stamped drawings delivered with the construction submittal.
